I grew up surrounded by art and nature—my father, a painter and stained-glass artist, and my mother, who nurtured wonder through countless explorations of Golden Gate Park and California’s coastline. I later studied under a classically trained Chinese painting master, and before photography, spent six years divining water and drilling wells in Northern California Redwoods. That mix of artistry, grit, and technical problem-solving still shapes how I work today.
